Helping Harper’s Camping Wish Become a Reality

Amy Bradley with Harper's Family

On July 27th, Great Canadian RV Ltd., along with Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada and many others, granted a fully-loaded 2019 Coachmen Catalina Summit Trailer to 6 year-old Harper and her family. Diagnosed with Angelman Syndrome, a rare genetic disorder, Harper faces developmental delays, movement and sleeping complications, as well as epilepsy and non-verbal communication. However, this doesn’t stop her from taking part in her favourite activities. As a cheerful and expressive child, Harper loves the outdoors, the water, and spending her time with friends and family. A specially suited trailer was just what was needed to make Harper’s adventures as bright as her passions.

“Truly a tear-jerking unveiling…” Amy Bradley explained coming back from the fifth annual Great Canadian RV Open House. “Wayfarer Insurance Group was incredibly delighted to play a part in helping Harper’s camping wish become a reality.”

This call-to-action had several industry supporters, such as Camco, Coachmen, Global Warranty, and Wayfarer Insurance Group work together to build a fully-accessible travel trailer designed to help with Harper’s needs. With an awning mat, bedding, dishes, towing mirrors, camping chairs, an Explorer RV Club membership, and one-year paid coverage from Wayfarer Insurance Group. All ready to use right away.

“This opportunity for Harper and her family is what the RV and camping community is all about. Coming together and creating lasting memories. There’s nothing more pure than this.” Amy Bradley, Executive Assistant at Wayfarer Insurance Group stated, “With all the companies stepping-up and offering help, it’s really comforting to see all the love and support us outdoor fanatics have to give!”

When it comes to camping, Harper has trouble managing extreme heat, weather, and bugs with her various medical challenges. But through the tremendous amount of effort put forward by these partners, the full RV starting package will make it easier for Harper’s family to relax and enjoy the outdoors. Surpassing the original ask by miles, it is an honour to present these gifts and help anyway we can.

At Wayfarer Insurance Group, we were ecstatic to see Harper’s camping wish come to fruition. And we hope for the best in their future trailer and camping adventures!
