Northern Lights Bluegrass and Old Tyme Music Festival

Organized by Northern Lights Bluegrass and Old Tyme Society

The Northern Lights Bluegrass and Old Tyme Music Festival is proud to be celebrating another year in Big River, Saskatchewan. Here to teach, encourage, and promote the understanding and appreciation of traditional bluegrass instrumental and vocal music. All being held at the beautiful Ness Creek campground, that features 40 km of trails, cabins, and an untouched slice of nature housing a wild plains bison herd.

This connection to the Prairie heritage makes the Northern Lights Bluegrass and Old Tyme festival an enriching experience for all those who attend. Involve yourself in daily jam sessions or workshops. Embrace the solitude of nature. Each day is filled with so much excitement for the young and old.

The festival does feature camping, but for those that are looking to show up days early will find that Ness Creek is already occupied by their annuual music camp for children. To ensure that you can stay the time you want, Northern Lights has put together a list of local accommodations where festival goers can stay.
