Imagine pulling your RV into a lovely campsite after spending a pleasant day tooling along a gorgeous Canadian byway. Sounds pretty great, right?
Now imagine glancing over to the site next to you, to discover that it’s occupied by… Justin Bieber?! It’s true; the Ontario-born crooner singer and his wife have recently been spotted enjoying multiple RV outings.
But the joys of celebrity spotting while RVing isn’t limited to “Beliebers”. Many famous stars of stage and screen have discovered the RV lifestyle. From down-to-earth to over-the-top, read on to discover which celebrities love their RVs — and check out their stylin’ rides.
Kellie Pickler: Shoes on Wheels
Singer Kellie Pickler lived in a trailer as a child. Now that she’s made it big in the country music scene, she’s upgraded to an RV that’s more spa than single-wide. The American Idol star customized her RV to meet all of her requirements when she’s on the road.
The travel trailer features bespoke shelving for her massive collection of high-heeled shoes. With room for an industrial-strength ice maker, kennels for three dogs, and a built-in spa, Pickler’s stunning RV makes every trip a high-style adventure.
Will Smith and “The Heat”
When actor Will Smith is on filming on location, he lives in a two-story trailer that’s so big it has its own name: “The Heat.” In fact, The Heat is so large that it has to be towed by a semi-truck.
At 1,200 square feet, this 30-ton trailer takes up more space than many non-mobile homes. Of course, it also cost more than $2,000 per square foot.
If you’re wondering what a cool 2.5m buys you these days, think a steam shower, a mirror with a built-in TV, granite countertops, 14 flat screen TVs, and a movie screening room that seats 30.
Mariah Carey’s Double Decker
When one story just doesn’t cut it, why not add another? That’s exactly what Mariah Carey did with her customized travel trailer. Described as a “skyscraper on wheels,” this massive RV boasts 1,200 square feet of living space, with slide-outs on the lower floor to offer more room.
Inside, the trailer contains two tonnes of stone and marble for that lux look, and a top-shelf water machine to keep guests hydrated. And they’ll need it, as the top floor of the RV contains an exercise and dance studio. Of course, there’s also a 35-foot-long couch when the dancing’s done.
Alicia Keys’ Musical Family Road Trip

Musicians Alicia Keys and husband Swizz Beatz love to pack up the kids and head out for a family road trip. Of course, they’ve got two SUV campers to choose from (and sometimes take both at once!)
The pair and their two sons explored the American Southwest in their double caravan last summer. This musical family even brought their keyboards, record players and speakers along with them on the ride.
Simon Cowell’s $2 Million RV
Clocking in at 1,200 square feet, TV personality Simon Cowell’s RV boasts two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and two stories. Oh, and a $2 million price tag. Weighing in at 30 tons, this trailer isn’t messing around.
Cowell made his home on the road comfy with a 100-inch TV, a fully-loaded kitchen and a freestanding tub in the master bathroom. And did we mention the spiral staircase? Now that’s not something you see in an RV every day!
John Mayer Beefs it Up
Musician John Mayer is ready to get back to nature in his rough and ready truck camper. With a v8 engine, 300 hp and plenty of torque, Mayer’s EarthRoamer is set to go off the beaten path.
Set atop a Ford F-550, this truck camper is 26 feet long. With a kitchenette, bathroom, and room to sleep eight guests, Mayer is roughing it in style.
While celebrity RVs certain offer some over-the-top features, we’ve got some good news: you don’t need to spend millions to have that great RV experience. Just getting out on the road and exploring all of those fascinating, scenic places is enough to keep us craving more RV time… no spiral staircases or 100-inch flat screens required.
